Mark Mitera s’amène à Montréal en retour de Mathieu Carle
MONTRÉAL – Le directeur général du Club de hockey Canadien, Pierre Gauthier, a annoncé
vendredi l’acquisition du défenseur Mark Mitera des Ducks d’Anaheim, en retour du défenseur Mathieu Carle.
Âgé de 23 ans, Mitera a participé à 71 matchs avec le Crunch de Syracuse dans la Ligue américaine (AHL) en 2010-2011. Il a amassé 22 points (6 buts, 16 aides) et 50 minutes de pénalité.Mitera, un défenseur de 6’3’’ et 213 lb, a participé à 108 matchs en saison régulière dans la Ligue américaine.Originaire de Royal Oak, au Michigan, il a été sélectionné en première ronde, 19e au total par les Ducks d’Anaheim lors du repêchage amateur de la LNH en 2006.
Mathieu Carle a pris part à 223 matchs de saison régulière en carrière avec les Bulldogs de Hamilton, et récolté 97 points (30 buts, 67 aides). Il a également participé à trois matchs dans la LNH avec les Canadiens lors de la saison 2009-2010. Carle a été sélectionné au 53e rang par Montréal en 2006.
